About SAIRC
SAIRC started because two of us were trying to publish a machine learning project and could not find anywhere to put it. arXiv wants an endorsement from someone already in the field, and most journals assume a university email address. So we built the thing we had been looking for: a journal anyone can submit to, a forum where people write up what they are working on, and a shelf of guides covering the parts nobody explains. Since we opened signups 310 people have joined and 49 papers have gone up.
How submissions are reviewed
A student reviewer reads each submission against a published rubric, checking that the work is the author's own, that the method is described well enough for someone else to follow, and that the conclusions match the results. That is a careful read by a student, not formal academic peer review.
Who runs it
Both of us are at Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. Everything on this site was built and written by students.
